Healthy Food Choices in City Vending Machines

Published By: City of Surry,

Healthy and nutritious food choices must be available for people to maintain a balanced diet. "Health Check", a not-for-profit food information program run by the Heart and Stroke Foundation, labels food products and menu items that meet specific nutrient standards based on Canada's Food Guide. The percentage of "Health Check" choices in City vending machines is a measure of how available healthy and nutritious food choices are.
