High School Graduation

Education enables individuals to be more competitive in the job market, have better job opportunities, and have higher earnings. High school completion sends a strong signal to prospective employers and is often necessary for obtaining post-secondary education. Students that do not complete high school have a more difficult time finding work and can face barriers to pursuing further training and learning. The high school completion rate is a measure of educational attainment of high school students in Surrey, and the City aims to see a 2% increase in graduation rates per decade.
