Number of Pocket Markets

Published By: City of Surry,

Pocket markets enhance community food security by bringing fresh local produce to urban residents and supporting local farm businesses. Pocket markets are essentially 'mini farmer's markets': one time events, in which a number of local farmers are able to sell their produce directly to residents. The number of pocket markets is a measure of food security in Surrey. Data sources: Surrey Urban Farmers Market, Surrey/White Rock Food Action Coalition.
