Post-Secondary Certification

Post-secondary education includes academic undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs; vocational, career, and technical certificate programs; apprenticeship programs in designated trades; and entry level trades training certificate programs. Individuals with post-secondary certification are more competitive in the job market, have better job opportunities, and have higher earnings than a high school graduate. The percentage of Surrey's population that has achieved post-secondary certification is a measure of post-secondary educational achievement. Data Source: Statistics Canada (Note: 2011 data quality may be inferior to previous years due to the voluntary nature of the National Household Survey that has replaced the mandatory long form census).
