Water Consumption

Published By: City of Surry,

Fresh, clean water is a valuable resource and needs to be used wisely and efficiently. Minimizing water use helps to ensure that there is enough for fresh water ecosystems and the local wildlife that they support. It also saves money by reducing the need to build new dams and water infrastructure and reducing the amount of energy used to deliver water and treat wastewater. Winter water consumption per capita per day is a measure of how well Surrey residents practice water conservation (a five year average is used to reduce the effect of weather anomolies on data).
